Cardio or Lifting Weights?

Here is at least one area that the fitness gurus seem to be in agreement on. (Finally!)

In order to achieve optimal results they agree that you need to do both. Don’t worry about doing weights if you’re a woman because you won’t bulk up and look like one of those body builders with the bulging legs. That takes a lot of work and supplements.

However, if you just do cardio, from what I’ve found out, you aren’t optimizing your workout. By strength training, you can burn calories even when you’re not working out because of the energy it takes to repair the muscles after you’ve worked out.

So hey, if you could burn calories even when you’re not working out, why wouldn’t you?!
